What is the process for selecting an egg donor?
At IVMED OVO, selecting an egg donor is a straightforward and user-friendly process. Intended parents or clinics can access our online donor database after a simple registration. The catalog allows you to browse donor profiles using filters such as ethnicity, eye/hair color, height, blood type, and more. Each donor profile includes detailed personal information like education, hobbies, personality traits, and photos. Our team can also assist with donor matching based on your preferences.
How do you ensure the quality of your oocytes?
IVMEDOVO ensures the quality of donor oocytes through a strict and comprehensive screening process. All egg donors (aged 19–32) are tested in certified European and FDA-accredited laboratories. The evaluation includes full medical exams, infectious disease testing, and genetic screening for hereditary conditions. If needed, extended genetic testing can be performed on over 400 genes, and genetic matching with the recipient is also available. Our frozen oocytes are vitrified using state-of-the-art cryopreservation techniques, with a survival rate of around 95% upon thawing.

How long does the egg donation process take?
The duration of the egg donation process depends on whether you choose vitrified (frozen) oocytes or fresh donation. If using frozen eggs, shipment can be arranged almost immediately, as we maintain an inventory of ready-to-ship donor oocytes. If you opt for fresh donation, the process takes longer—typically several weeks—since it involves synchronizing the donor’s cycle, medical preparation, and egg retrieval. Our team will guide you through the timeline based on your specific case.
